Bananas are edible fruits native to tropical countries. They are eaten when ripe or when the skin turns yellow and its texture is soft. Bananas are excellent nutritional source of Vitamin B and Vitamin C, Manganese and Dietary Fiber. Ripe bananas are found to contain serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine which is popularly thought to be a contributor to feelings of well-being and happiness.
Dopamine is an important organic chemical that plays an important role in the brain and body in that its release in the brain sends signals that plays in the role of reward-motivated behavior.
Norepinephrine also is a chemical that supports the brain functions. It promotes vigilance, enhance formation and retrieval of memory, increases arousal and alertness, but can increase restlessness and anxiety.
