Breadfruit - Coming soon

Breadfruit originated in the South Pacific and transported by British and French navigators to their respective colonies worldwide. The Breadfruit is closely related to the breadnut and also the jackfruit.  It is an equatorial species that grows best in low elevations and in neutral to alkaline soils. The Breadfruit has 71% water, 27% carbohydrates, with 1% protein and very negligible fat content. Raw breadfruit is a rich source of vitamin C (20% or more of the Daily Value, DV) and a good source of thiamin and potassium (10-19% DV).
